Gary

"Hurricane" Gary Drouin -- Guitar, Bass Gary hitchhiked from Maine to Sarasota in the 1970’s and ended up playing with the harmonica wizard Rock Bottom in 1978 and the legendary bluesman Eddie Kirkland in the Tampa Bay area for four years in the early 1980’s.

Gary was instrumental in forming the famous Five “O” blues jam in the late 1980’s. He went on to perform with Memphis Flyers, Mercy Road and Lady Katt. He has also performed and toured with The Lauren Mitchell Band and Koko Ray & The Keepers. Gary is considered by many to be one of Sarasota's premier blues guitarists.
Scott Matzke

Scott Matzke -- Bass, Vocals, Guitar, Songwriter After being transplanted to Anna Maria Island, FL in his teens, Scott quickly planted his rock ‘n roll roots in the local music scene. Through the years Scott’s bands have opened for greats like The Marshall Tucker Band and The Guess Who.

Scott has appeared with the popular Reverend Billy Wirtz and the late blues performer Ace Moreland. From bands known as Legend, King Louie, Smokin’ Bones, Scott’s Garage and more recently Karen Klarich, Scott’s unique bass style, soulful vocals and dynamic stage presence bring a tasty "BAM" to the Memphis Rub mix!
Memphis Rub Band

Dan Ryan -- Keyboards Originally from Massachusetts, Dan has been a rock & blues keyboard player for many years. His favorite instruments/sounds are the Hammond B-3 organ, piano, Wurlitzer, Rhodes, clav and analog synths.

Besides the Memphis Rub Band, he's performed in Florida with the Jose Ramirez Band, Trey Wanvig Band, Tucci Band, Brandi Sparks, Karen Klarich Band, Kyle Shell/Tangled Mangos, Joel Tatangelo Band, and Scott's Garage. In New England, Dan worked with Donut Kings, Pocket Rockets, Sass, Thursday's Child, Volume, Fair Warning, The Plague, Destroy The Band, Grey Matter, and Sunrise Express.
David Wells

David Wells -- Drums, Vocals A singing drummer since the age of 13, David joined The Memphis Rub Band in 2019. A veteran of the Pittsburgh, PA music scene, David fronted his own band for many years before re-locating to Englewood, Florida in 2017.
